Sussex Police seek witnesses following hit-and-run incident near Kent border

Officers from the Sussex Roads Policing Unit are urgently appealing for witnesses and any available footage following a hit-and-run collision on the A267 Frant Road, near the Flower Pot Nursery. The incident, which occurred near the Sussex and Kent border, happened at approximately 8.25 am on Thursday, June 8.

The collision involved a Mini Cooper and a high-top Ford Transit-style van. The driver of the Mini, a 28-year-old woman, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

However the driver of the Ford Transit van, which was traveling southbound into Sussex, did not remain at the scene post-incident. The van was last seen heading towards Sussex, but the driver’s whereabouts are currently unknown.

Officers are now appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have relevant footage of the vehicles in the area at the time to come forward. They believe that such information could be crucial in assisting their ongoing investigation.

To report any information, witnesses or those with relevant footage can contact Sussex Police online and quote serial 272 of 08/06.
